The proposal to rename the federal seat of Franklin to "Tongerlongeter" has been dropped - the seat will remain Franklin for this redistribution cycle.

Is Franklin still Franklin or are they still shifting it to another part of Tasmania. The Huon Valley is the Franklin electorate and if they change it to Clark our elected representatives will be displaced

the boundary changes have already been locked in, so Franklin now is entirely east of the Derwent and the Huon Valley is now in Clark. tallyroom.com.au/franklin2028

The state parliament will need to pass legislation to that effect, but yes they will be.
