Bellingcat has further analysed videos of the shooting of Alex Pretti by federal agents. The footage shows an agent wearing a black beanie step behind Pretti. His right arm then appears to recoil at the same time the first shot is heard.

The movement seen in the agent’s arm when the first shot is heard in the footage is similar to the recoil seen in his arm in the next three shots, where he can be clearly seen firing.

As previously reported we did not find any evidence Pretti’s gun fired. CBS News has also reported that a Customs and Border Protection (CBP) review for Congress of the shooting states that Pretti’s gun wasn’t fired and confirmed two agents fired their guns. www.cbsnews.com/news/two-fed...

We also found that a federal agent was wearing a body cam that appeared to be pointing in the direction of Pretti when he was on the floor, as well as in the direction of the four first gunshots. DHS told Fox News that some of the agents' body cameras were recording at the time of the shooting.

The agent who appeared to initiate the altercation with Pretti, and fires the fifth shot, can also be seen in footage wearing a bodycam.

Dr. Michael White, a professor in Criminology and Criminal Justice at Arizona State University, emphasized the importance of body camera footage, for both to visually see what happened, but also for its audio, particularly in cases like Pretti’s shooting.

like bank robbers. If someone gets murdered when people are robbing a bank they charge them all with murder. This incident started with the CBP assaulting Pretti. Anything that happens after that is a result of their law breaking and they are all responsible.

That incentivizes any agents who wish to be posted elsewhere, for whatever reason(s). So I expect to see more extrajudicial executions. Agents could ally in small groups if all are being transferred, and it only takes 1 to be willing to shoot for all to potentially benefit.
