Any country that elects law enforcement officers (rather than them applying and being appointed through a proper HR process) should take a serious look at itself.

💯 Some districts,like mine don't have a democratic candidate running for sheriff. So my district will wind up with a tRump/ICE loving fruit nut sheriff. 😤

I don't get the logic of electing a law enforcement official who represents a particular political party. Law officers should be politically neutral, appointed on the basis of their skills, qualifications and experience.
