If every single black person of voting age together with honest white folk get out a vote, splitting the district into three would give TN three instead of one black rep. That would be at least poetic justice.

I live in the Lake Nona region of Orlando in #FL9 / #FL09, represented by @repdarrensoto.bsky.social (D). If the new lines aren't rejected by the courts, our district was drawn to vote R. But Congressman Soto is still going to run here. It will be a tougher race for sure. But he can still win it.

The real question is, if Democrats still manage to win, what are they going to do about all this? Virginia Democrats have already announced they’re folding after their Supreme Court literally tossed out an election result…this is dictator shit. What’s the plan?

It would be funny if the end result of this is they dummymander half the states. If it’s 5 or 6 dollar gas by early voting, Republicans are going to start at -20 from their normal expected results.

They should all be redistricting ASAP by any means necessary but they won't. A bunch of spent old rich men. They won't fight for us because they benefit from the statid quo

When Democrats get in, they have to completely overhaul the system to make sure there's never again a psycho fascist dictator for a president again. The office of president must itself be severely limited. SCOTUS must be elected by the people, and serve a fixed term. Gerrymandering abolished.

It's a slim, likely false, hope I hold onto. In their rush to redistrict and gerrymander, the Republicans miscalculate and end up redistricting things in a way that hurts them more than helps them. Really depends on how wide the victory margins were in previous districts.

We are fighting hard to get Dems elected in SC. We are not going to allow this corrupt administration & the corrupt Republican Party destroy our country. 💙🇺🇸💙

It might be more than that. Even in the red retirement community in South Carolina where I live, the turnout for a town hall with Lindsey Graham’s opposition was impressive.

We need federal standards for federal elected positions proscribing the ratio of voting booths and precincts, fair redistricting rules, qualification civics tests before you can run, etc. It is shameful that it is so easy to vote in one state and a nightmare in others. These positions affect us all.

I think this is the election we need the biggest turnout in history of our party. If we all get off our butts and vote there is no way MAGA can win all the seats they think they just stole. But we must win this year, not sit around waiting to see what happens in 2028.

There’s also a distinct possibility that voters simply vote against the regime. Good enough vs Evil could show the gop the door in big numbers. People are exhausted by the Shit Show the country has become.

Let's just do this, figure out a grid for each state based on population, punch in how many districts each state gets, lay grid over state on map, there's your congressional districts.

I am confident this will happen in more states like Florida and Texas. They have lost all touch with their base. And if the American kind of humanity still is aware. The GoP should lose 25-50% of it's base. I can not phatom the fact that 45% of the americans would be racist.... AND stupid...

Gosh I hope he's right. I'm really trying to remember that in these states that they're redrawing for more gop advantage -- the liberals aren't vanishing. They're being dilluted but enough of a wave and it could backfire. We're going to need a lot of on the ground GOTV volunteers this year tho.

If majority black districts must be dissolved to comply with the supreme court's decision, then so must majority white districts.

In Alabama most seats just go uncontested, year after year, from one R to another R. It’s pretty depressing. I can count on two hands the opportunities I have had to vote for anyone other than a republican during any given election.
