Trump: "I said, 'You can build your own electric generating sources,' and honestly some of the people in this room, they're building electric generators that are so far beyond anything that's ever been built before. They're using nuclear, they're using oil and gas, they're using coal as a backup."

Electricity generation utilising a vast array of sources. What a huge new invention! What is next....... sliced bread? No 💩 Sherlock! People have been using these sources for decades, but it seems like dementia diaper Don finds 'new' inventions every day and can't wait to tell us all about it.

For decades we've have had grade 9 and 10's inventing new ways of generating electricity in science classrooms all around the world, even in third world countries, but the president of the United States thinks it is a new thing. How insanely dumb can you be?

Just a note: The nuclear reactors damaged at the Fukushima Daiichi power plant in 2011 were permanently shut down and have never been repaired or returned to operation. The cleanup and decommissioning of the plant are ongoing and expected to take decades to complete.

Oh my gosh really? Just now they've started building large electric generating sources? Really they started using oil and gas just now? And coal? Gosh why didn't anybody think of that before?

Nuclear is a good option but unfortunately takes a while to be built. I would love if Trump started a multi year plan to get nuclear across the country through. Coal should never be a backup. Batteries should be the primary backup and if truly needed natural gas.

That’s such a wild mix “nuclear, oil, gas, and coal as backup” sounds less like an energy plan and more like a kid naming everything he remembers from science class. It’s like he’s pitching a Frankenstein power plant.
