Actually, that's weird... Just noticed I don't get those any more. Years ago I got loads, and nearly all acted like I was an academic or were impressed by my work in {incorrect field}. (I didn't reply to those as they were clear spam; no idea what their motivation was)

Same… it’s easy to ignore the generic ones and the ones addressing me as Dear Sir, but lately so many genuine ones and with a good fit to me research:(
