Agreed. For too long, electeds at all levels have coasted on good intentions and vibes, thinking they suffice for a grand vision for the future, necessary public investment, or the courage to go to bat for anything but private car ownership, highways, and incoherent transit lines.

Now, we’re reaping the whirlwind as we stare down an economy everyone can see is falling apart at the seams. The overall standard of living here is falling, but especially for those at the bottom of the working class. We’re thinking decades behind where we should be, and reality is catching up.
