there's an oldish saying, "do you want to be right, or do you want to be effective?" and i think it needs an update "do you want to FEEL right, or do you want to be effective?" bc really there aren't any points at all for "being" right. only being effective matters.

What if they will never admit you're right, or even think you're right, but you can gain enough leverage to get them to do a good thing or stop doing harm?
