Like Ilja Dragunov before, Kairi Sane is believed to be dealing with visa issues and is waiting for this to be resolved before signing with AEW. She is able to work on the Jericho Cruise because this will be in international waters. (Source: Dave Meltzer — Wrestling Observer)

I hope Kairi can actually win the big one in AEW considering how underutilized she was in WWE. WWE’s female booking has been bad lately while AEW is notorious for underutilizing their women’s division. Won’t it be better if Kairi returned to Stardom or Marigold?

Working with AEW doesn't necessarily preclude also working with Stardom. She could very well do the dual contract thing, like Mistico and Hechicero are doing with CMLL.

It could also be a thing where TK would want to bring in talent to fill up the world title picture because he's done a dumb job of letting it ride.

No one's better off working Marigold under the creep who owns it.

Strange how after WWE releases someone, and they then talk to AEW, they suddenly have visa issues. Must be some sort of strange coincidence. I can't believe WWE would be so callous about people's livelihoods. Next you'll expect me to believe they're flying talent and employees into an active warzone
