Ten years ago (yes, I checked - TEN years, two months), I bought an Arduino beginner kit. Played with it for an afternoon, then set it aside. Figured I'd come back to it sometime when/if inspiration hit me with something I could do with it. (1/2)

Today, my eldest came to me and said "dad, do we have time for me to get an Arduino kit shipped here before <upcoming trip>? I need one for a thing I'm building and need to figure out how it works." Pulled the kit out, opened it up, and said "have at it." Being a packrat paid off! (2/2)
