I’ll need to do testing again in 2 months but I, unmistakably and no crumbs left, have Rheuemwtoid arthritis. The good news is my joins are in great condition despite my diagnosis. The bad news is I’m not on the path to find way meds works for me and one of them is pretty scary.

The good news sandwich is it’s very low dose chemo. So while it’s an Avery med with side effects I get to see how my body reacts to it the next 2 weeks. I may experience some fatigue and brain fog. I hope it works out for me. I’m very nervous about this new medication but I hope it’ll help with pain

It’ll also make me even more immunocompromised than before. I’ll have to navigate this at conventions where I’m already at risk of getting pretty sick. I might make some new mask covers to help me feel cute and protected. I need to form better habits.

I’ll write more about this as I’m able to process it. I’ve already mourned and processed a lot of my feelings about my health. I’ll likely record and post how I’m navigating all this as I want to document and share my journey with everyone.

In 2 months I’ll have other bloodwork and tests done to rule out other issues and concerns especially with my new meds. So far they don’t suspect cancer, which I’m thankful for. RA is still pretty rough though as there’s no cure for this auto immune disease.
