I got a partial understanding of inets from previous exploration but i feel like I'm failing to fully grok the intended denotation/semantics for any inet

yeah but arguably isn't that unavoidable? same way that if you got a randomly generated lambda calculus string its semantic meaning would also be inscrutable

I can still interpret the λ-term semantically as a function (even if it's unclear what that function is trying to encode)

i spent a while yesterday making ChatGPT explain this to me and apparently one can interpret an inet as a relation over its free ports. (again, without knowing what that relation is encoding, if anything)
