Russia will become a smuggling hub, importing Chinese and high tariff countries products and reselling them into the US. This will also revitalize Russian manufacturing as they can position themselves as the new China. The omission of tariffs on Russia is by design to help Vlad.

All of the tariffs are being done at Russia's instruction. Destroying trust in long standing relationships is forcing smaller countries to seek safety in new aliances. If Russia/China/ US form the new "Axis of Evil" Where do Israel and the middle east fit in with a Christo-fascist regime?

According to this observation captured by James, and using 2021 pre-invasion/pre-sanctions figures: Russian exports to the U.S.: 29.7bn Trade deficit: 23.3bn 23.3/29.7=0.785 Missing a 78.5% tariff here on Russia, me thinks. No? And, look, we still imported 3bn in goods in 2024. So...

Yesterday Trump tariffed nations that do not even exist (they are uninhabited islands). He tariffed an American military base. These he imposed tariffs on. He imposed no tariffs on Russia.

I'm not an expert. I just assumed that the Office of the US Trade Representative would know their stuff. They say there's a deficit and others have said that Trump has been keen to reduce such deficits with these tariffs.
