He’s using his typical tactics: having multiple candidates unsure if they’ve been selected, so they end up competing against each other to win his favor. It’s the same strategy he used on The Apprentice. He used this consistently in entertainment, business and politics. Nothing new or surprising.

On that note, Trump will simply declare with his favorite toy, the executive order, that being a citizen (born in the USA) is not required to be president. The courts have the power to deputize court bailiffs for extreme situations in the actual courtroom/courthouse, but yes Marshals can be manipulated by the tRUMPdumpster!
