Robert Dillon was wrongly arrested for trying to lure a child out of a McDonald's in a city he'd never been to — all because Jacksonville Beach police trusted a false facial recognition match. Their errors cost him his livelihood and sense of security. We're demanding an apology and justice.

I hope he ends up with a multi-million judgment. Too many exculpatory indicators to ascribe this to mere negligence. This arrest should never have been made. It is wrongful in every sense of the word.

A computer pointed at the wrong man and the cops treated that like probable cause. The software will get a quiet patch. Robert Dillon does not get his livelihood back in an update. Somebody chose to trust the match over the human being in front of them.
