Individuals who emigrate legally are most certainly not welcomed by this administration. They've arrested multiple individuals walking into immigration facilities to conduct their scheduled appointments.

The laws are fine. But this government is abusive. No one agreed to have the thugs of ice hurting people and bringing violence to our country. These horrible prisons that they put people in. The government is making a fortune on these prisons. As long as Trump and his minions earn money

Amen! That is what America is supposed to be. I hate this government. All they do is destroy and hurt us. And the world now.

People don’t choose to become asylum seekers or immigrants away from their language, culture, and history because they “want to” - they choose because they have to. I was taught that we are a ‘melting pot’ but we’re not - we’re seen as a beacon of hope for those that are oppressed and downtrodden.

It’s the “I got mine, but screw you” attitude of so many Americans who are children of immigrants that floors me. Pulling up the ladder behind you is a terrible thing to do.

That will not help in our current system. Think we'd know that by now.

Making this statement is not sufficient. We must confront the decades of cherry-picked mis- and disinformation the right has pumped out from their "think" tanks, indoctrinating Rs with the false idea that immigrants do only economic harm, and social harm on top of that. We're in an infowar.
