As a brutal heat wave overtakes much of the country, almost every single state lacks universal air conditioning in their prisons, where temperatures can exceed 120 degrees. This isn’t an issue of comfort or luxury — it's an issue of life or death for many incarcerated people.

I can't afford air conditioning but my tax dollars should go to comfort criminals? Our society is so totally phucked up. Some obviously put criminals above the needs of our seniors and disabled. 🤦‍♀️

True story--Texas spent about double in legal fees to fight being required to install A/C as installing A/C in all their prison facilities would cost. The cruelty is the entire POINT. Buncha sickos.

☹️😓😥Don't them #MAGA massahs just love them some free products, gruelingly made inside of for-profit #prisons, within a 130° privately owned cement box. #Heatwave2025 #Trump #Project2025 #ForAndor #FAFO

Note; Not everybody can work! Not a lot of disable, and mentally challenge people! People with heart problems, and more! You can't or shouldn't look for excuses to try and take away there medicate! This is just the Machiavellian republicans excuse to cover there ass!

"[Trump's HUD Secretary Scott] Turner has made specific requests for accommodations in the building...These include a dedicated executive suite on the 19th floor, construction of an executive dining room, and reserved parking spaces for his five cars." www.alxnow.com/2025/06/24/r...

Here in Georgia, many prisons also limit showers and clothes changes to twice per week and give 2 meals a day— one of which is usually bologna sandwiches. Hepatitis runs high, doctor visits come from commissary funds, and toothpaste lacks fluoride (which sucks when you consider the starchy diet.)
